Sometime this week, I came across a meme about middle
school boys who used the axe spray as an excuse to not bath. I hope you know
what I mean. Obviously, I sent it to a friend of mine and we laughed because we can
relate to such incidents. However this shouldn’t be the case at all, no one
should relate to that. So this week I present… THE HYGIENE TALK.
This usually starts in 7th grade where people
stop washing socks and airing out shoes. Honestly, we can just say that they are
still kids but, there is no reason to let other people suffer from the bad odour that we can change.
1. Wash your socks. Do not repeat socks just because they look clean. My friend they look clean but they smell like rotten tomatoes.
2. Air out your shoes. Maybe you do it but still, the smell doesn’t come out. Have you tried life hacks? Adding powder to them, or a teabag. Shoes smell because of the sweat that they collect all day long.
2-minute showers are not it ladies and gentlemen. It’s
just like spraying the axe spray and thinking you have actually done something.
Every camp that I have gone to they make us shower for 3 minutes. This helped
me realize that as much as you are rushing make sure you scrub well, especially
under your armpits. Wash every part of your body thoroughly. And remember bath/shower with soap. If you don't use soap it's literally you playing with water.
3. Scrub your body. Have you ever tried a loofah/sponge or the bathing gloves or a stone? Those work miracles. Sometimes we think the towel is doing the trick but it’s not. #usesoap
On the same topic of armpits and private parts. We need
to realize that we are now teenagers. I’m not about to have a science lesson
but I do know that we all know that we grow pubic hair. This hair collects
sweat and it keeps it. As much as you scrub the smell doesn’t completely go. You
need to shave it all off.
4. Shaving. You can use hair remover or a shaving stick. A shaving stick is often easier use as you can do it if you are late. But I do recommend hair remover.
At the end of it all. You might do all 4 of the things
mentioned above, but if you do not spray anything at the end of it all then
what you did is in vain. Be it hot or cold. You need your trusted antiperspirant
and cologne/perfume. Usually, if you are playing those super active and physical
sports these don’t really work. I have this super cool gel from Mitchum. This is
an anti-sweat gel.
5. Spray. Just add a little bit of this and that. Antiperspirant is your best friend remember that.
